No formal qualifications are needed, a strong D.I.Y or electrical handyman background will also be considered.

Duties:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in high voltage switchyards, substations, and power operations centers.
• Work with established maintenance plan and substation equipment.
• Report process and problems. Complete and maintain maintenance record.
• Participate in special projects such as checkout of new substations, stage additions, or substation preconditioning preparations.
• Use various types of test equipment, such as Doble testing equipment, ammeters, voltmeters, wattmeters, multimeters, meggers, low resistance ohmmeters, ground resistance meters, etc.
